We do our utmost to protect buyers on the marketplace. HOWEVER, as we are selling 'digital items and downloads' there are no refunds available for these products.
At the moment we are NOT VAT registered. The prices you see do not include VAT.
When you list a digital item on the Yew Marketplace, YOU the Author, will always retain your own copyright. The items listed on this marketplace are being sold by you using our platform. We will NEVER TAKE CONTROL of your own content, or offer it onto other platforms like some companies are doing right now.
The Yew Marketplace expects authors to offer anywhere between 0 and 12 months of support to buyers. In this time, authors will perhaps update scripts, themes or templates because they recognise there are better things they can offer buyers, or they become aware of technical issues that need resolving. This is GOOD PRACTICE and lets buyers have confidence in buying your digital assets.
But we don't expect authors then to continuously keep updating their content free of charge forever (perpetuity). So we are looking at ways of bringing into focus, the ability for authors then to upsell on-going support (in which case updates would be available after a period of time) to avoid authors working for nothing in the long run.
You can sell your scripts, themes and templates on our digital marketplace.
We want to make sure that sellers are protected from 'payment clawbacks' and that your hard work is rewarded.
When you purchase a digital item on the Yew Marketplace, there are two different types of licences available. Each licence covers different aspects of what you can and cannot do with the digital item you buy
Regular Licence: A regular license allows an item to be used in ONE project for either personal or commercial use by you or on behalf of a client. The item cannot be offered for resale either on its own or as part of a project on another platform. Distribution of source files is not permitted. You will have limited support (usually up to 12 months) after which time you may need to enter into a new support agreement with the author of the item.
Extended Licence: The extended license allows an item to be used in ONE project for either personal or commercial use by you or on behalf of a client. The item can be sold to a client, BUT CANNOT be offered for resale either on its own or as part of a project on another platform. Distribution of source files is not permitted. You will have limited support (usually up to 12 months) after which time you may need to enter into a new support agreement with the author of the item. It is still a single use licence and not a 'multi-use' licence, which means you cannot create multiple items with the same product.
The Yew Marketplace has no desire to launch any kind of subscription models. We believe that buyers still prefer to Pay As They Go (in the UK we call it Pay As You Go - PAYG). There have been many changes with how any type of software works nowadays whereby people are being forced into signing up for recurring subscriptions. Whilst we note that sometimes these work, we still believe that the majority of people want to buy something, and then when updates become available, they can then have the choice to upgrade or remain on the system they are using then.
